Summary

This paper presents a project in which a a light-weight, open-source, easy-to use publishing framework was developed to publish a TEI-encoded edition of an eighteenth-century French text on storytelling, Bérardier de Bataut's Essai sur le récit. This publishing framework  essentially provides an integration of display, search and download functions for XML/TEI-files into the Drupal content management system. The paper presents some of the features the publishing framework needed for this type of text and explains how these were implemented. It goes on to compare the publishing framework with similar tools and discusses some advantages and possible limitations of our tool. Finally, it comments on current developments.
